Alright, so today was Day 26 of official Spartan Race training program. Felt pretty awesome today - threw some more weight on the dumb bells (currently about 18 -20lbs a piece.) and beasted through the series of complexes. 6 reps each exercise, 5 rounds. If you're not sweaty by the end of that, you're inhuman. lol.
Was time to put a little more challenge on. Which feels great. Maybe that makes me a bit of a masochist, but I love to find the thing that pushes me just a little bit more. Adding a bit more weight certainly does that!
Oh! Here's something cool - Looks like I'm good to go in the Working Member Program for the Crossfit gym, here. Work off my membership fees, by taking care of the front desk a couple hours a week. In exchange, I get a really awesome place to work out for the winter months (and up here in VT, having a place to work out Inside in January is key. haha). I'm excited to get started doing Crossfit. It seems like a perfect way to improve all around fitness and get into Spartan shape. I admit, here, publicly, that I'm a little bit terrified of walking into that place to work out... many of those people are in ridiculous good shape. BUT. Everyone seems really nice, and hey, we've all got to start somewhere, right?
